Sales Manager Effectiveness Survey
Sales management in leading companies
participated our web-based survey. This survey identified the key driver of
sales management effectiveness--time. We found that the sales management job
has become more complex and too administratively and internally focused. Sales
managers do not have sufficient time to perform "core" activities (e.g., what we
hired them to do) or to be "in the trenches" working with sales reps and
customers.
As a result, we have identified
eight “calls to action”—recommendations for what leaders can do to increase the
effectiveness of sales management.
